In 1996, AST LOGISTICS SDN BHD ventured into the seafreight forwarding business, initially to complement the needs of its existing customers.

The seafreight business has also grown, seeing regular movement of containers from West Malaysia to East Malaysia, and vice versa. The Company is also aggressively selling this service to the international markets.

The trucking department was initially established to complement the international and domestic freight forwarding businesses. However, the Company decided to develop the trucking business after getting support from existing customers, other forwarders and transporters.

Presently, the Company has 45 trucks all over Malaysia, ranging from 1-tonne trucks up to 40 feet trailers, offering bonded and non-bonded trucking services, domestically and also between Malaysia-Singapore.

In 1997, AST LOGISTICS SDN BHD ventured into the packaging of used household and personal effects business. As a licensed removal provider under Malaysian Finance Ministry, the Company has created its name as one of the most established removal companies in the country.

Besides the offices of the Malaysian Government, AST has also managed the movements of expatriate offices internationally.

The Company’s Head-Office in Port Klang has more than 100,000 sq ft of warehouse storage space, 24 hours security, equipped with all facilities for loading and unloading of containers, storing and other services.
