AST LOGISTICS SDN BHD, (AST) was incorporated in 1992 as a private limited company in Malaysia by Mr Mustapa Kamal, as air and seafreight forwarder. From an initial setup of 1 office and 3 staff in 1992, the company has proved its capabilities in handling domestic and international transportation business in a very short period of time.
Besides local conglomerates, AST also managed to handle international corporates. From 1994 – 1998, AST handled all incoming and outgoing air cargo shipments for Samsung Group of Companies in Malaysia.
In 1997, AST further ventured into packaging and moving of used household effects and vehicles, domestic and international. The company managed to secure long term contracts for the movements of Malaysian government officers within Malaysia and also overseas The company has also managed to secure movements of oil and gas company officers such as Petronas and Shell from West Malaysia to East Malaysia and vice versa. With the expertise and the strength of experienced, dedicated and helpful staff, the company now has 05 own offices covering major ports and airports in Malaysia, total staff of 45 and fleet of trucks of 22, offering all transportation requirements either by Air, Sea or Land, local or international.
The location of our Head-Office is at Port Klang, the premier port of Malaysia. Our 2-storey office building, as the main administration, financial and seafreight operations, providing all seafreight requirements such as Import/Export Customs Broker and Forwarding. Besides that, our warehouse of 100,000sq ft, 24 hours security, equipped with all facilities for loading and unloading of container, stuffing and unstuffing, storing and other services.
Our other 5 branch offices covering major cities in Malaysia, and the worldwide network of reliable agents, providing all transportation requirements, helped AST to become one of the most reputable and trusted forwarders and movers in Malaysia.
